The Nagarhole sanctuary is renamed after the late prim minister of India as ‘Rajiv Gandhi National Park’. The name of the national park was Nagarhole sanctuaries because of the huge varieties of snakes that are found in these areas. The word ‘Nagarhole’ means that the ‘stream of snakes’.

Jungle Inn is 200 km from Bangalore; 68 km from Mysore; 20 km from Hunsur (nearest town). Being well connected by all weather road it has good accessibility.

- Colonial style: There are 2 blocks of 7 twin-bed rooms each, with modern facilities and have been built as look-alikes of the Maharaja and Viceroy buildings, located in the camp.
- Riverside: Six twin-bed cottages with attached bath, overlooking the river.
- Tented Cottages: Five comfortable tents overlooking the river with attached modern bath.
